Katrin Braus has over 20 years of professional experience in auditing, consulting, and regulatory matters. After completing her degree in mathematics, she began her career at PwC in audit-related advisory services and later continued at Mercer Human Resource Consulting. She is now recognized as one of the leading experts in the modeling and valuation of provisions as well as in the assessment of complex financial instruments.
At BRAUS BERATUNG+REVISION, she initially supported major audit and consulting engagements, conducted regulatory audits, and took responsibility for complex special topics, including the valuation of financial instruments, the determination of the contribution to results from trading combinations, and audits under § 24 FinVermV for independent financial intermediaries. She has also been actively involved in internal audit projects—from risk-based audit planning to executing audit procedures, coordinating findings, deriving recommendations, and preparing audit reports. Since 2021, she has led the internal quality assurance function, ensuring the high professional standards of audits for banks, securities institutions, and investment management companies.
